Welcome to St.Joseph's School, Nagercoil
St. Joseph's Matriculation Higher Secondary School was established in 1981 as a Primary English Medium School, by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kottar, a Religious Minority. The Bishop of the Diocese is the manager of the school and he appoints a Priest of the Diocese, as its Correspondent and another Priest if needed as the Co-Correspondent. The sisters of Charity of St. Anne have been rendering their services towards the growth of the Institution since 1984. In the academic year 1997-1998, the school was upgraded into a Matriculation School with Std. VI and in the year 2002-2003, it was again upgraded as Matriculation Higher Secondary School with Std. XI. Stds I to X are affiliated to the Matriculation Board and Stds XI and XII to the Higher Secondary Board of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

A warm welcome to the academic year 2023 – 2024. At the very outset, I would like to register my sentiments of gladness and gratitude for your grant welcome given to me as the new correspondent.
It’s worth recalling the five pillars of this great institution St. Joseph’s Matric Higher Secondary School namely:
